At the Birdcage and home of Sioux Falls' professional baseball team, you’re guaranteed to find Vikings among the Canaries. Along with three Augustana Baseball alumni in Sioux Falls Canaries uniforms, the team employs an alumnus as its sales executive and three students as summer interns. Canaries President Brian Jamros is also a familiar face within the Augustana School of Business and its Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program.

Beginning in the fall, ҹɫ��Ƶapp will offer a major in neuroscience. The major will be in addition to the neuroscience minor, which launched in Fall 2022, as well as a neuroscience emphasis for psychology majors.

Augustana is proud to announce that the university’s Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) graduates within its School of Health Professions achieved a 95.5% pass rate in 2023 — the highest of all 4-year BSN programs in South Dakota, and the third highest among all RN programs in the state. In addition, Augustana’s December 2023 Accelerated Nursing Program graduates achieved a 100% pass rate.

The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery at ҹɫ��Ƶapp is proudly showing the “Augustana Student Invitational” — on view through Friday, Sept. 6. A closing gallery reception will also take place on Sept. 6, from 7-9 p.m.

Julia Radtke ‘24, who graduated from ҹɫ��Ƶapp in May, has received a Fulbright U.S. Student Program Award from the U.S. Department of State and Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board to conduct research in Norway for the 2024-25 academic year.

ҹɫ��Ƶapp will offer sports broadcasting as a minor beginning in the fall. The minor will help students build careers in a field that includes both traditional broadcast and cable outlets, and new and ongoing digital platforms.

ҹɫ��Ƶapp recognizes 878 full-time students who have been named to the Dean's List for the spring semester of the 2023-24 academic year.
