The ҹɫ��Ƶapp School of Music (SoM) is excited to announce that the Augustana Northlanders Jazz Band and Faculty Jazz Combo, along with 800 middle and high school students from three states, will perform during the 49th Annual Jazz on the Upper Great Plains Festival on March 4 and 5, at Hamre Recital Hall in the Fryxell Humanities Center. The jazz festival will feature Matthew Whitaker — an internationally-touring pianist, as well as a Hammond B3, Yamaha and Nord-performing artist — in concert alongside the Northlanders Jazz Band at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 4, at the Washington Pavilion.

Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday, more than six weeks before Easter, is a “meaningful season to so many Christians.” So meaningful that Augustana’s campus pastor decided to build programming around the season — programming now known as .

ҹɫ��Ƶapp and the Center for Western Studies (CWS) announced today that  for the 27th Boe Forum on Public Affairs are now available to the public. This year, Augustana’s Boe Forum will feature an evening with New York Times opinion columnist, PBS NewsHour commentator and bestselling author . The talk, entitled “America at the Crossroads: The Rule of Law and the Future of Democracy,” will be held at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, March 19, in the Elmen Center.

A newly published report by ҹɫ��Ƶapp shows that 98% of 2023 graduates — who completed degrees in August, December and May of Academic Year 2022-23 — achieved a positive career outcome. 

In October 2021, ҹɫ��Ƶapp formally announced the addition of the Viking Men’s Hockey Program — which first took the ice in the fall of 2023. Just a little more than two years after the groundbreaking, Augustana Hockey is set to play in Midco Arena for the first time on Jan. 26 and 27. As both fans and the team count down the days, the university recognizes the importance of the founding partners of Midco Arena — partners like JJ’s Wine, Spirits & Cigars, owned by Tom and Jean Slattery.

The ҹɫ��Ƶapp School of Music is excited to announce its 2024 J. Earl Lee Piano Festival on Friday, Feb. 23, at Hamre Recital Hall in the Fryxell Humanities Center. As part of the festival, prospective and current Augustana students will have the opportunity to sit in on a masterclass and receive coaching from Grammy-nominated Joyce Yang.
